Resolute Rowing products have a signature stiffness that helps crews go fast and a durability that means you’ll be winning in our boats for years to come.
This design advantage comes down to just a few key design and materials principles that have been at our foundations since Black Z One came off the line more than 25 years ago.
First, our carbon fibers are strong along their length – laid up unidirectional to ensure a stiff and resolute hull that is not compromised by woven fiber construction.
Second, stronger carbon construct is strengthened with an optimized ratio of resin to carbon, making a “pre-preg” carbon that brings lower voids and greater strength, and allows us to lay the carbon more carefully because it only hardens when the hull goes into curing.
Lastly, Resolute uses a 30 mm thick honeycomb construct that makes our gunwales the stiffest in the industry. This helps Resolutes accelerate quickly with a greater transfer of power to the oar rather than to hull flexion.
